2020 Review

As 2020 comes to a close and we look back over this very difficult year, the HEART Team has maintained its commitment to training and to each Team member.  As we look back at our accomplishments we installed a WiresX System at Patriots Colony so that all training exercises could be heard by all.  Another accomplishment was finally receiving printers for each manned HEART Station so messages could be handled more professionally and expeditiously.

On a sad note we lost two HEART Team members this year:  Tom Wishart from Patriots Colony and Stan Winner from Chesapeake Regional Medical Center.  Both of these Team members will be sorely missed.

We look forward to starting 2021 with our annual exercise entitled “The Big One” and the development of our comprehensive Simplex Plan.  We are looking into ways to improve the RF communication from Patriots Colony.  We look forward to finding additional committed and passionate HEART Team members to man Stations.  We also look forward to continuing the momentum the HEART Team has displayed.  The HEART Team has set the pace for the quality and commitment of its members to supporting healthcare.  So if you know of someone who might be interested in joining our Team, please refer them to the HEART website HEARTTEAM.US.
